When is Eid al Adha 2017

Eid-ul-Adha is on Saturday, September 2, 2017

Many Muslims within the United States and other countries of the world observe Eid-al-Adha. This Eid is referred to as the Feast of Sacrifice, each year. This event commemorates Ibrahim’s (Abraham) temperament to sacrifice his son (Ismail) to Almighty Allah. This festive conjointly marks to the pillar of Islam known as Hajj and a journey to Mecca. This Eid is celebrated on 10th of Zul-Hajj which is the last and the 12 months of the Islamic calendar. The Islamic calendar is also known as a lunar calendar.

Eid-Al-Adha 2017

Eid-Al-Adha is on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Muslims from all around the globe celebrate this Eid every year. They sacrifice a halal animal as a symbol of thanks giving to Almighty Allah and offer Eid prayers in mosques or Eid Gah. The meat of sacrificed animal is distributed among relatives and poor people. Muslims in New York usually, instead of sacrificing animal send that amount to their natives in other countries.

The celebration of Eid al Adha festive continues for three days.

Muslims wear new clothes and meet their relatives arrange social gatherings. Cook various dishes with the meat of sacrificed animal. It is the event through which every Muslim get the feeling of being an Ummah.

Holiday on Eid-ul-Adha

However, it is not a public holiday on eid-ul-Adha in the US, but few Islamic organizations allow holidays. Meanwhile, it off for the public schools of New York City. On the other hand, in the majority of Islamic countries, there is three days holiday for Eid-ul-Addha.

This Eid is a gift of Allah to the Muslims around the globe.

On this day, the celebrate, enjoy and seek mercy from Almighty Allah. This Eid also reminds every Muslim that they should sacrifice all their thing in the way of Allah. For them, priority should be Their Creator, not children or wealth or any other worldly thing.
